I designed a desk and chair and performed a topological optimization using SolidWorks to minimize the mass. The initial parts before optimization are shown below, then optimized part and the final 3D printed part. Through this project, I learned how to complete topological optimizations and construct geometry that would be possible using traditional CAD techniques.
